not currently utilise 'cookies'. To quote the information
Commissioners Office guidelines (available
here as a pdf format download from thier page on the topic):
"A cookie is a small file, typically of letters
and numbers, downloaded on to a device when the user accesses
certain websites. Cookies are then sent back to originating
website on each subsequent visit. Cookies are useful because
they allow a website to recognise a user’s device.
The Regulations apply to cookies and also to similar technologies
for storing information."
Since this site is a static site, with no interactive elements,
cookies are therefore unnecessary here.
Disclaimers & notes:
The Military
Ranks that the members display are most emphatically NOT real,
and are used as "props" to help the static stands
and scenarios we put on display.
Payment of
Compliments (Salutes) to Officers whether real Armed Forces
Officers or other Re-Enactors displaying the rank of an officer
for scenario benefit, are recognition of the Queens' Commission
(even if simulated in Living History), and are therefore justified.
Note that in a tactical environment, Salutes are most definately
NOT performed - they tend to attract enemy snipers rather
effectively! |
