Bunker Bash 2009

To be held over the weekend of 16th-17th May 2009, Cold War Provost will attend on the afternoon of 15th May, and stay all weekend: Purpose of Cold War Provost Attendance: Live Traffic Control, Training, and display shakedown.

The event will, as last time, be held at the Kelvedon Hatch Secret Nuclear Bunker site. Accomodation will be tented, and members should bring full field kit and Barrack Dress.

You are likewise highly recommended to bring fully packed CEMO as well.

Given last years event, and the weather involved (Saturday: Belting it down with rain - Sunday - Boiling high sun), waterproofs and spare dry boots would also be a belting good idea!

Those attending should notify Sgt Stenning asap, for their opins/joining instructions packet to be forwarded to them in good time.

Exercises

The regular monthly Chatham Militaria Fair Recruiting Exercises will carry on as normal on the first or second Sunday of each month, unless cancelled through further P1 Orders. Note that regular attendance of Senior members is problematic through other commitments at this time.

Admin Orders

With effect from 1st May 2009, and until 1st September 2009, Shirt Sleeves orders of dress variants may be worn, except that no jacket may have its sleeves rolled: Only shirts may have their sleeves rolled. Jerseys must be worn betwen 1830 hrs and 0600 hrs.

    Due to last-minute work-related scheduling difficulties, Cold War Provost are now regrettably unable to attend this event.


    To be held over the Late May Bank Holiday in the Horndean Showground, Five Heads Road, Horndean, Hampshire. Cold War Provost is attending to perform a static display.

  • Sellindge Steam Fair 2009
    Due to a prior booking (and nowsome last-minute work-related scheduling difficulties), Cold War Provost are regrettably unable to attend this event.


    To be held over the late May Bank Holiday in Sellindge, Kent.

    Cold War Provost has an invitation to attend, but members are advised that the Overlord 2009 event has prior booking for our attendance, so we are unlikely to attend both events. regrettably, this means that the Sellindge event may not see us attending.

  • Military Mayhem 2009
    BOOKING STILL STANDS!

    To be held over the weekend of 22nd and 23rd August 2009, at Farming World in Faversham, Kent.

    Cold War Provost is attending
    1. to defend our reign as 'Best Static Display', and
    2. to establish, populate, and run, an effective static display.
